The cocktail you need to make to celebrate Star Wars Day!
Baby Yoda, The Child, Grogu … whatever you call the little green guy in The Mandalorian, he’s definitely adorable – and it’s no wonder there are so many ‘Baby Yoda’ cocktail recipes out there.
Well, I came up with my very own recipe, inspired by this charming character, to celebrate Star Wars Day. I worked with the amazing Scottish (and Glasgow) whiskey brand Douglas Laing & Co to create an epic Baby Yoda cocktail with The Epicurean Whiskey.
This cocktail is sure to impress all fans of the Star Wars saga (and more precisely The Mandalorian, where we met the wonderful little Yoda guy). But this cocktail is also for everyone, whiskey lovers and cocktail lovers, because it is really delicious!
I think whiskey cocktails are way underrated. While I love a great single malt on its own, I believe whiskey is also a versatile spirit to experiment with. In fact, this cocktail I created is a great example of whiskey paired with other ingredients to create something fresh, savory and unique! This recipe is a winner. Try it, you have to! (said in Yoda’s voice 😁)
Some popular Baby Yoda cocktails use Midori for this bright green color, a melon-flavored liquor. I’m not a fan of the taste of Midori, so I used Sour Apple Liqueur for the shade of green. I enjoy the taste of apple liqueur a lot more and it’s a great ingredient to mix with a dram like The Epicurean.
The Epicurean is the ultimate distillation of the Scottish Lowlands, proudly offered without coloring or cold filtration. A master of versatility; This sweet, fresh and zesty lowland malt is perfect for a cocktail hour or just for sipping.
With just a handful of ingredients and a very easy-to-follow guide, you have the perfect drink to celebrate Star Wars Day like never before.
